Residential flat & low-slope roofing
Roofing options for Gulf Coast homes with low-slope additions, porches, garages or other roof areas that need a membrane-based discussion.

Identify the low-slope area separately
A section described as flat can have drainage and slope requirements different from the main house roof. Provide views of the full area, drains or outlets and the connection to adjacent walls or steeper roofs. Include the approximate age and any known product information.
Choose an assembly for the conditions
TPO, PVC and modified bitumen are different roofing technologies. The appropriate choice depends on the roof, substrate, drainage, detailing and product requirements. Ask for a comparison of the proposed assembly and repair options instead of selecting a material solely because it is commonly called flat roofing.
Trace water before choosing a patch
Tell us where water collects and when interior stains appear. Roof-to-wall transitions, edges and penetrations can need attention alongside the field covering. If concealed moisture is suspected, discuss what additional investigation is needed and how it could affect repair or replacement scope.
